Summer 2010 Intensive Programme
July 10th 2010 - August 6th 2010
Course cost : US $400 (special beginners offer) up to $500 per week depending on accommodation choice and tutor group size. (minimum booking 4 weeks)
These programmes include:
- 20 lessons a week of small group teaching (each lessons 50 minutes duration)
- Accommodation in western standard shared apartments a 5 minute walk from campus or campus hostel.
- Airport meeting.
- Welcome pack
- City orientation tour and welcome lunch.
- Hosts for weekly social/cultural afternoon activities.
Tuition:
Each student will receive 20 lessons of class tuition a week. Each lesson is 50 minutes duration and class sizes are limited to a maximum of 8 students per class. Each class will be taught by two different teachers and classes will include comprehensive study of the Chinese language. Each week 10 lessons will be focused on building up vocabulary and improving students grammar. The remaining 10 lessons will be used to practise speaking, listening, writing and for teacher assessments to give students feedback on their class performance.
Accommodation:
Students may be accommodated in western standard shared apartments. The apartments are all fully furnished with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and 2 or 3 private bedrooms. All apartments are fitted with cable internet access. The inclusive cost is $425-$450 per week. Alternatively students may be accommodated in on site campus hostel at an inclusive cost of $500 per week. (Beginners special summer course $400 per week)
Social and Cultural Activities:
Each week there will be 2 social/cultural activities arranged for students to attend. These include trips to sights of interest in or around the city, sporting events and occasional trips to sample the Dalian nightlife. Chinese in China will provide hosts to accompany students on these trips but the actual cost of these activities students will need to pay for themselves. So students are free to choose which activities they would like to attend. The average cost of an activity will be around US $10.
Course cost:
The programme fee for the Summer Intensive programme is US $400 (Special beginners course) up to $500 per week and the booking time is normally a minimum of 4 weeks. The course cost includes all tuition, accommodation, airport pickup, city orientation and welcome meal, hosts for social/cultural activites, visa assistance.
